Kubby Junior - After School Club...with qualified staff supervising at all times, Kubby Junior is a friendly and welcoming environment specially designed to cater for children and young people right through the school age range. School pick-up is included in the fees and Kubby Junior is open to the needs of the whole community.

New Service: “PAY AS YOU GO”

In August Kubby Junior spent a bit of time learning about the countryside and the people who look after it. They learned that Tony was having a lot of trouble with crows eating his crops so they decided to help. For some unknown reason they called him Tony?????
Kubby Junior After School Club has moved from its current location to St Mary’s Primary School Kircubbin. The move to St Mary’s allows us to offer more indoor and outdoor facilities not to mention excellent parking for parents enabling Kubby to offer a better and more expansive range of activities for kids. Over this past three to four months we have been working hard with Social Services and members of St Mary’s Primary School to secure this opportunity to provide the best possible care for after school children in the What if your child doesn’t attend St Mary’s Primary School? That doesn’t matter; a child from any school is welcome at Kubby Junior. “We are keen to provide a high level of service to the whole community, only in a different location and at a new reduced rate.” Key features of the new club includes: • Fees for the after school club are £11 (including breakfast club for St Mary’s pupils) per afternoon with the breakfast club an extra £3 if your child attends a different school. • Breakfast club runs from 7.30am in the morning and is in Kubby Day nursery where we then transport your children to their relevant schools. • Currently Kubby delivers and collects children from Schools and Nurseries in Ballywalter, Ballyhalbert, Kirkistown, Kircubbin and Portaferry. • All Kubby vehicles are insured and driven by Kubby Staff and are also registered with the DVA, a legal requirement, ensuring your child will only ever be in contact with fully vetted people. In addition to this: • Kubby Junior operates a healthy eating policy and all snacks are prepared on the premises ensuring a fresh and well balanced diet is encouraged. • Kubby & Kubby Junior is in constant contact with the local Environmental Health Authority to ensure all standards are met. Also we are actively pursuing the “Scores on the Doors” award from Ards Borough Council for food hygiene. With summer fast approaching Kubby Junior’s thoughts are turning more towards the summer plan and this is already well underway, with trips planned every week to different locations throughout Northern
